Definisi Teks Narratif<\/strong><\/em>
\nNarrative text adalah sebuah teks sastra fiktif atau non-fiktif yang
\nditulis dalam rangkaian peristiwa yang runtut atau kronologis. Narrative text sendiri dibuat dalam bentuk cerita yang menghibur, maka dari itu,alur cerita narrative text tidak boleh diceritakan secara acak. Narrative text bersifat imajinatif dan berlatar waktu di masa lampau.<\/p>\n

Jenis-Jenis teks Narratif<\/strong><\/em>
\nNarrative text memiliki banyak jenis yang beragam. Narrative
\ntext dapat berupa cerita khayalan yang dibuat oleh seseorang atau cerita mitos yang berkembang di masyarakat. Berikut ini adalah jenis – jenis narrative text yang perlu kamu ketahui, antara lain:
\na. Fairy tales (cerita dongeng)
\nb. Folktales (cerita rakyat)
\nc. Science fiction (cerita khayal yang bersifat ilmiah)<\/p>\n

d. Myth and legend (mitos dan legenda)<\/p>\n

Tujuan Teks Narratif<\/strong><\/em>
\nTujuan teks naratif adalah untuk menghibur dan menarik pembaca
\ndengan cerita atau peristiwa yang mempunyai masalah yang menimbulkan konflik dan di akhir cerita tidak ada resolusi harus happy ending, atau bahkan menyedihkan. Teks naratif tidak terbatas pada cerita mistik, fiksi, legenda, dongeng atau fabel saja, melainkan cerita lain berupa petualangan, misteri dan segala bentuk cerita.<\/p>\n

Unsur Kebahasaan (The Linguistic Feature)<\/strong><\/em>
\nSetiap teks tentunya memiliki ciri khas bahasa yang membuatnya
\nberbeda dengan jenis teks yang lain. Berikut ini adalah 5 unsur
\nkebahasaan yang terdapat dalam narrative text.
\na. Noun kata benda sebagai kata ganti orang, hewan, dan benda dalam cerita, misalnya the cunning fox, the wicked witch, cottage, dsb.
\nb. Past tense menunjukkan latar waktu cerita yang terjadi di masa
\nlampau dengan menggunakan predikat bentuk lampau (Verb
\npast atau to be), misalnya was\/were, went, began, kicked, dsb.
\nc. Time connector kata penghubung untuk mengurutkan peristiwa dalam cerita, misalnya after, then, soon, dsb.
\nd. Action verbs kata kerja yang menggambarkan sebuah tindakan tokoh secara fisik maupun pikiran, misalnya ran, thought, believed, knocked, dsb.
\ne. Saying dan thinking verbs kata kerja yang digunakan untuk
\nmenunjukkan ujaran tokoh, misalnya said, asked, thought, dsb.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Struktur Teks (The Generic Structure)<\/strong><\/em>
\nGeneric structure dari narrative text berfokus pada serangkaian
\ntahapan yang diusulkan untuk membangun sebuah teks ini sendiri.
\nSecara umum, terdapat empat tahapan dalam Narrative text, yaitu:
\na. Orientation
\nOrientation atau biasa disebut dengan pendahuluan, berisi tentang siapa, kapan, di mana suatu cerita ditetapkan.
\nb. Complication
\nComplication menceritakan awal masalah yang menyebabkan puncak masalah atau yang biasa disebut dengan klimaks. Bagian ini biasanya melibatkan karakter utama dari cerita tersebut.<\/p>\n

c. Resolution
\nBagian ini adalah akhir dari cerita atau berupa solusi dari masalah yang terjadi. Masalah dapat diselesaikan dapat menjadi lebih baik atau malah lebih buruk yang nantinya akan membuat cerita berakhir dengan bahagia atau sebaliknya.
\nd. Re-orientation
\nBagian ini adalah penutup dari suatu cerita yang bersifat opsional. Reorientation bisa berisi tentang pelajaran moral, saran atau pengajaran dari penulis.<\/p>\n

Contoh Struktur Teks<\/strong><\/em>
\nOrientation
\nOnce upon a time, there lived a girl named Cinderella.
\nShe lived with her step mother and two step sisters. The step
\nmother and her two daughters didn\u2019t like Cinderella. They
\ntreated Cinderella very bad. Cinderella usually did the hardest
\nworks in the house; such as scrubbing the floor, cleaning the pot
\nand pan and preparing the food for the family, and so on.<\/p>\n

Complication
\nOne day, a ball was to be held by the royal family of the
\nkingdom to find the Prince\u2019s spouse. Cinderella wanted to go to the
\nball but her step mother asked her to stay at home and do the
\nhouse works. Cinderella cried. Then there was a fairy godmother
\nstanding beside her.
\n\u201cWhy are you crying, Cinderella?\u201d, the fairy godmother asked.
\n\u201cBecause I want to go to the ball but my step mother insists me to
\nstay at home. Besides, I don\u2019t have any beautiful dress\u201d said
\nCinderella.
\nThen the fairy turned Cinderella\u2019s ugly dress became the
\nmost beautiful dress and with beautiful slippers. The fairy also
\nturned a pumpkin into a parking coach and the mice become six
\nwhite horses. Cinderella finally could go to the ball but she had to
\ncome back before midnight before the spell ended.
\nAt the ball, Cinderella amazed everybody there include the
\nPrince. The Prince asked her to dance. Cinderella had a wonderful
\ntime at the ball. But, all of a sudden, she heard the sound of a
\nclock, the first stroke of midnight. Remembered what the fairy had
\nsaid, Cinderella ran back to go home. But she lost one of her
\nslippers in ballroom. The Prince picked up her slipper and would
\nsearch for the girl whose foot fitted with the slipper.<\/p>\n

Resolution
\nA few days later, the Prince proclaimed that he would marry
\nthe girl whose feet fitted the slipper. Her step sisters tried on the
\nslipper but it was too small for them, no matter how hard they
\nsqueezed their toes into it. In the end, the King\u2019s solder let
\nCinderella try on the slipper. She stuck out her foot and the page
\nslipped the slipper on. It fitted perfectly.<\/p>\n

Reorientation
\nFinally, she was driven to the palace. The Prince was
\noverjoyed to see her again. They were married and live happily ever after.<\/p>\n
